China’s former premier, Li Keqiang , whose efforts to retool his country’s economy faltered under the dominance of top leader Xi Jinping , died Friday after suffering heart failure, state media said.
Li, who served a decade as premier until March, was in Shanghai when he experienced a sudden heart attack on Thursday, the official Xinhua News Agency said in a brief report.
